This hammock is only a small remnant of the once vast Gulf Hammock
that was known statewide.
The 32,128 acre preserve borders Florida’s gulf coast between
Cedar Key and Yankeetown. Most of the area consists of salt marsh
dotted with picturesque wooded islands interlaced with numerous
tidal creeks.
Hours of Operation
We are open from 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.
