The Florida Park Service manages the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier.
This 900-foot pier is one of the most popular fishing destinations
along the Emerald Coast. Each spring, fishermen flock to the Navarre
Beach State Park Fishing Pier anticipating the first Cobia, Mackerel,
and Pompano runs along the Gulf Coast.
Visitors enjoy fishing at the pier year round for a wide variety
of fish species. Please feel free to view our photo album to see
some of the local catches and who earned this year’s local bragging
rights!
Visitors are also welcome to walk on the pier to view local wildlife
such as Bottlenose Dolphin, Rays, and an occasional Sea Turtle.
A breathtaking view of a sunset from the pier provides the ending
to a perfect day while visiting Navarre Beach.
Interpretive signs are posted along the pier to provide fish
identification and education of local wildlife.
While you are visiting the area whether it be at the pier or
park we hope that you will bring any of your used fishing line
and spools to the pier to be recycled. We have located a recycling
unit at the base of the pier and at the half way point on the
pier. The fishing line is a problem in the environment because
it lasts 600 years. It is usually clear and is difficult for birds,
fish, turtles or animals to see it and they become entangled in
it which they may be injured, strangled or may starve to death.
The recycle units are provided by Florida Sea Grant Program of
Santa Rosa County.
