Known as one of the most important archaeological sites discovered
in Florida, the Lake Jackson Mounds have yielded some of the most
significant artifacts in the state.
Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days
a year.
Driving Directions
Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park is located off
U.S. 27, two miles north of I-10 in Tallahassee. Take Crowder
Road to Indian Mounds Road.
Park Fees
The Entrance Fee is $3.00 per carload, up to 8 people. Extra
persons, walk-ins, and bicyclists are $1.00 per person.
During the Point In Time annual event, admission is free for

Letchworth Mounds Archaeological State Park
Letchworth features an earthen mound that is older than the
mounds at Lake Jackson. The Letchworth mound is also the tallest
mound in Florida. The park is located in Jefferson County, about
17 miles east of Tallahassee, Florida, on Sunray Road South (off
of U.S. Hwy 90 east). For more information about Letchworth Mounds
