Message from the Manager

Welcome to one of the most unique parks in the Florida State Park system. A visit here provides an opportunity to experience Florida wildlife up close and in a natural setting. Our staff of employees and volunteers is dedicated to ensuring that you have a memorable experience. This website will provide a small glimpse of the park, but don't stop there, I know you will enjoy the opportunity to come for a visit and experience our part of the Real Florida.

Homosassa Springs is one of the few places where you can be guaranteed to see manatees year-round. Our underwater observatory provides great viewing without getting wet; you can get within inches of a manatee! The park recently completed many improvements including a new reptile exhibit that provides a great view of many of Florida’s reptiles, both venomous and non-venomous; Wildlife Walk, a boardwalk system of over 1600 feet, meanders around a variety of wildlife exhibits and habitats providing great viewing opportunities to see bobcats, cougars, otters, bears and hundreds of birds.

Bring the kids, bring the grandparents and don’t forget your camera! Come and enjoy the beautiful weather and natural surroundings at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. You’ll be glad you did.

Tom Linley, Park Manager
